We hear a version of the same question every week: "What would you actually pay for this?" Fair thing to ask before you ship a shoebox of sealed product, or a binder of singles, across the Netherlands. Here's the honest breakdown of what moves the number up or down when we quote your collection.
Condition and seal integrity come first
For sealed product, an intact factory seal is worth more than almost anything else about the box. Shelf wear, dented corners or a resealed wrapper will drop the offer significantly, even if the cards inside are perfect. It's exactly why we push Heimdall® PET Protectors so hard. A €3 case protecting a €150 box is probably the highest-ROI move most collectors skip.
For singles and graded slabs it's the usual stuff: centering, edge wear and surface scratches for raw cards, and the slab itself (cracks, yellowing, sticker residue) for graded ones.
Set demand and timing
Not all sealed product ages the same way. Sets with smaller original print runs, strong chase-card art, or ones that are already out of print tend to hold or gain value. A set that's still on shelves everywhere, ours included, won't command a premium yet no matter how well you stored it. If you're not in a rush to sell, it's often worth asking us what a set's demand trend actually looks like before you commit.
Sealed vs. singles vs. graded: different math
| What we check | What moves the price | |
|---|---|---|
| Sealed boxes/ETBs | Seal, corners, weight (for box-swap fraud) | Set demand, print language, factory seal |
| Raw singles | Centering, edges, surface, corners | Card rarity, condition, current market |
| Graded slabs | Grade, slab condition, grading company | Grade plus population plus card demand |
How it actually works
Send us photos and a rough description through the sell your collection form. No obligation to accept. We'll come back with a fair-market offer, usually within a day. If you accept, ship to one of our EU drop-off points and get paid within 48 hours of arrival once we've checked the contents match what was described.
Not sure where to start, or you've got a mixed lot of sealed, singles and slabs? Message us with photos and we'll tell you honestly what's worth listing individually and what's better sold as a bulk lot.
